Part 5: IBCM — Inactivity-Based Cost Management (Part 1)
[This is Step 1: Move from 2000 years of Cowry Shell Accounting that we constinue to follow to Accountability Ecosystem that our Society demands by science – Metaphysics, Physics and Quantum Physics.]
The Reverse Osmosis of Corporate Dark Value: A 100-Year Blueprint for Indian Foundations
To most who have been through traditional business schools, Inactivity-Based Cost Management (IBCM) sounds almost like an oxymoron.
For decades, management accounting has remained anchored in the paradigm popularized by Activity-Based Costing (ABC). But conventional costing misses a fundamental economic truth:
“Activity has a cost incidence. Inactivity has a cost consequence. Measure cost consequence now.”
Beyond Machine Capacity to Human Capability
In industrial accounting, idle machine capacity is easy to identify and measure. But what about unutilized human capability?
The human brain holds synaptic complexity that rivals the stars in the cosmos. When organizational governance restricts itself only to what is visible—the WYSIWYG (“What You See Is What You Get”) worldview—it blinds itself to dormant potential and latent value.
To move beyond the limitations of classical frameworks, IBCM bridges insights from:
Quantum non-locality and superposition (moving beyond superficial observation)
Philosophical rigor (Advaita / Neti, Neti) to recalibrate value from first principles
Stress-testing against advanced AI logical engines (Gemini, Copilot, Grok) through over 1,600 adversarial exchanges.
The Urgent Shift for Indian Industry: From Accounting to Societal Value
As global tech giants—the GOA troika (Google, OpenAI, Anthropic)—accelerate token capital, Indian industry faces a critical crossroads. Blindly consuming compute tokens while leaving vast human capital inactive leads directly to structural deficits and “dark value” extraction.
IBCM provides the structural framework to transition:
I am pleased to share Part 1 of the IBCM Framework as part of this ongoing 100-Year Blueprint.
I invite board members, industry leaders, and policy architects to review the document and examine the real cost of corporate inactivity
